Pricing has been announced for the highly anticipated Porsche Panamera, Porsche's first luxury sedan. The Panamera is slated to compete against the Mercedes CLS ($71,575 base price) and the Maserati Quattroporte which starts at $119,750.
The Panamera S will come standard fitted with a 400-horsepower, 4.8 liter V8 mated to a rear-wheel-drive train and start at a tepid $89,800. Upgrading to the all-wheel-drive Panamera 4S with the same power plant will run you $93,800. For those who would rather transport their 3 passengers at the edge of sanity by screaming through corners and jumping from the line in both high luxury and high speed, the top-of-the-line AWD Panamera Turbo features a 500 hpo, twin-turbo 4.8 liter V8. The price of hearing shrill screams turn to joyless laughter will run you $132,600.
Scheduled to roll in to dealerships October 17, 2009.
